(EN) "The Thrill Isn't Gone II" is NegroNegro's second EP and it means a continuation through the jazz and electronic experimentation started in his previous work (TTIG, november 2014).
In this occasion, the album sound turns more violent by playing with tensions, blows, rythms and textures, and a clear intention of searching the physical sound experience.
In this production a higher presence of modular and saxophone sounds is discerned, which gets the work away from popular music melodies and common structures, without abandoning them completely.
"El caballo del sueño de Rodka" ("The horse in Raskolnikov's dream") is the song that opens the EP: a sound reinterpretation of one of the most shadiest Dostoevsky's passages.
"Nieve ardiendo" ("Burning snow") is the second song, where some clearer melodies appear mixed with an endless loop, wild night voices and various crescendos.
The last song, 1080, is the one that plays more with intensities, primitive rythms and sound pressure.
(SP) “The Thrill Isn’t Gone II” es el segundo mini-EP de NegrøNegrø, y supone una continuación por el camino de experimentación electrónica y jazz de su anterior trabajo (TTIG, Noviembre 2014).
En esta ocasión, el sonido del álbum se torna más violento, jugando con tensiones, golpes, ritmos y texturas, y con una clara intención de buscar la experiencia física del sonido.
En este trabajo se percibe también una mayor presencia de sonidos modulares y de saxofón que alejan la obra de melodías y estructuras comunes de la música popular, pero sin abandonar a éstas del todo.
“El Caballo del Sueño de Rodka” es el primer tema que abre el Ep, una interpretación sonora de uno de los pasajes más turbios de Dostoievsky.
“Nieve Ardiendo” es el segundo tema, donde aparecen algunas melodías más claras, que se mezclan con un loop infinito, voces nocturnas salvajes, y diferentes crescendos.
La última pieza, “1080”, es de las tres, la que más juega con intensidades, ritmos primitivos, y presión sonora.
